Hazel graduated from Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh in 1983. Having spent a number of years at a senior level in the NHS treating musculo-skeletal injuries, she specialised in 1988 in upper limb rehabilitation.
Hazel has a special interest in work place injuries and complimentary therapy. She holds a post graduate qualification in acupuncture and is registered with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. Hazel is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, British Association of Hand Therapists and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Occupational Health and Ergonomics.
